Feeding Kids Right is a non-profit managed by Ms. Willa Johnson. Her goal is to feed children from low-income families in and around Athens, quality, healthy meals throughout the summer months when they don't have access to meal programs offered by Athens I.S.D.  Known lovingly by the children as "The Food Lady", Willa's daily route will feed as many as 500 children in 2018. And we're not just talking cold sandwiches. “We only feed them a hot meal. We believe all our meals should be good, old-fashioned home-cooked food,” says Willa.

In addition to donations, one way money is raised for this cause is by the sale of good, old-fashioned soul food to the general public via The Soul Kitchen Restaurant. To keep overhead down, there is a take-out ONLY restaurant.

Hours for public purchase are Tuesday - Saturday, 11:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.  Don't push the clock and try to get there before they close. If you do, you may miss out as they frequently sell out early!
